For those who fly to Mackinac Island...

Follow the "Red Route"
Experienced Stonecliffe dwellers drive to St. Ignace, park at the airport and take the Great Lakes Air "taxi." The pilot will drop you off at the west end of the runway, where it's a short 1/4 mile walk through the woods to Stonecliffe.

If you've never been to Stonecliffe before, or have too much luggage to carry/pull, we recommend that you take a horse-drawn taxi from the terminal building. If you're in the mood to walk, head out of the airport and go to the right. Follow the road to the next fork and take the right fork. A short distance up you will pass through the stone pillars of Stonecliffe. Once you pass the pillars, there is a long drive on the left that is actually a long horsehoe. Take the second left and wind your way down to the condominiums. Applewood is at the very south end (left), Cedarwood is 2nd from the north (right).

For those who take the ferry to Mackinac Island...

Follow the "Blue Route"
From the ferry docks downtown, go up one block to Market Street and turn left and head to Cadotte Avenue. Turn right on Cadotte and go up the hill past the Grand Hotel. When you get to the top of the hill, the road has a branch to the left and a right turn. Take the left branch - the signs will indicate the direction to the airport and Stonecliffe. Follow the Annex Road as it winds through the woods. There will be several branches to the left and one to the right - keep on going. When the road forks, take the left fork. This will lead you through the stone pillars of Stonecliffe. Once you pass the pillars, there is a long drive on the left that is actually a long horsehoe. Take the second left and wind your way down to the condominiums. Applewood is at the very south end (left), Cedarwood is 2nd from the north (right).
